To Wack:- And therein lies the problem. They should have had security of tenure, but a combination of misunderstandings ( trying to keep it non slanderous) between BAFC, BTFC, and the League appears to have led the League to be satisfied when perhaps they shouldn’t have been.

Of course when they got promoted to the Northern League BTFC had proper security of tenure.

With the new step 4 league being created in two seasons time. Whether the FA creates a northeastern/Yorkshire league or a Midlands league & this pushes the NPL1E northwards. If the FA promoted the top 8 NL1 teams, are there any teams that would definitely not want to be part of the new league & would rather be demoted to the NL2?
This is an example of what the NPL1E might look like. I’m promoting West Auckland this season & leaving the 2 northeastern teams in the NPL1E(i.e. not promoting them this coming season):
1) Brighouse Town
2) Cleethorpes Town
3) Consett
4) Dunston UTS
5) Frickley Athletic
6) Hebburn Town
7) Marske United
8) Morpeth Town
9) Newcastle Benfield
10) North Shields
11) Ossett United
12) Pickering Town
13) Pontefract Colleries
14) Sheffield
15) Shildon
16) Stockton Town
17) Sunderland RCA
18) Stocksbridge Park Steels
19) Tadcaster Albion
20) West Auckland Town
*I have no idea why my 8 with a bracket has produced 8)
The NCEL would’ve promoted 2 clubs by the time this league is created & there will be promotion/relegation between this & the NPL Prem. So Cleethorpes would probably not be in this league, but I’d feel sorry for them if they were!
