Some of your fellow Bish fans could do well to remember that when they start mouthing off against other teams not even applying for promotion...they seem to have short memories.

You really should read up on your club's history before calling people names

:? Who is claiming you have?

I'M A MOOR IN DISGUISE!
I'M A MOO-ER IN DISGUISE!

Like, I slag off your history every time :? More like I interpret your history in a way that Bish fans with a superiority complex don't like.

Like, envious of Bishops' history...ROTFLMFAO!!!

Running away from the NL & Northern Alliance after one season each...to play friendlies!

Standing still whilst opponents and contemporaries showed ambition and progressed to FL & NEL.

Let's not forget when you DID apply for the NEL, having just had (what is still) your worst finish in the NL. If the NL2 was around then you'd have been relegated never mind playing professional football! (Not surprisingly the NEL teams weren't interested).

Or are you on about the Amateur Cups & NL titles? The ones that wouldn't have been won had your club shown ambition

Or possibly you mean Bishops record since resigning from the NL...you know 2 promotions, no titles and 3 relegations

And please mut, if you are going to have a go get it right...How many mickey titles have Dunston won?

I just might have to buy you a drink at HP mut, that was the best laugh I've had in ages.

Err ...Auckland Town?

A little knowledge of the history of the Northern League would tell you that you were founders of the Northern League under that name.

It's your club history mut.

Aye, too preoccupied with a failed attempt to avoid relegation no doubt.

It's not my team that tried to join the NEL

What was that you were saying about footballing superpowers?

11 (eleven) times I think Mut 8) nearly as many times as the mighty 2blues have entertained at wembley!

Mut,I'm failing to see what point you are making by 'name dropping' Wimbledon and Barnet, teams that unlike Bishops actually showed ambition and progressed forward to FL standard :? Your team was happy to stay in an inferior league in the hope you would play some 'big' teams in a national cup competition? Or are you attempting to prove how good Bishops were by the standard of teams they drew in cup competitions?

mut2011 wrote:

Haha mut, you really should do your homework mate, Horden weren't even in the NEL when Bishops attempted to join  Something must have attracted your decision makers at the time.

Just as well I knew my team had been called something else at the beginning, and I didn't come on a public forum and show my ignorance of my team's 'heritage' then isn't it
