The following is taken out of the programme for when we (Gillford Park) played them in the Cumberland Cup. Hope it helps:
Management
Richard Prokas Vastly experienced local lad who played at professional level with Carlisle United before moving to Cambridge United. Took over as manager this season after a spell as assistant to David Heslop.
James Tose Managed Harraby Catholic when they won the Northern Alliance, and now working as a community officer with Carlisle United's Football in the Community. Great enthusiasm for local football.
Amy Kirkbride Physio in her first season with us. Trained at St Martin's ollege, now the University of Cumbria, Amy works in the private secotr in town and aims to keep the lads fit and healthy.
Playing staff
James Holland Regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the Northern League. Local lad who joined the club six years ago and has held the number one goalkeeping spot throughout the last five seasons.
Matty Lea Local lad, an experienced winger who returned to us after a couple of successful seasons with Carlisle City. Matty's pace and trickery causes lots of problems for defenders.
Philip Thornton Captain now in his eighth season with the club, Phil has attracted the interest of other clubs from higher divisions. Good tackler, tremendous in the air and organises the defence.
Kevin Frampton A seasoned player with lots of experience gained with Workington Reds and Sunderand Youth. Reads the game exceptionally well and lets very little past him. Keeps it simple and passes well.
Wayne Robertson Reached senior level through the reserve squad. Towering no-nonsense plaer, good header of the ball and a good touch for a big lad. Great attitude and a good team member.
Will Paul An ever present in the team, Wll has a good engine which gets him up and down the field and never lets anyone settle on the bal. Tremendous attitude and work rate, huge asset.
Mark Jones A touch tackling no-nonsense player and an established defender with previous experience at Workington Reds. Hard worker for the team with good attitude who hates to be beaten.
Paul Pattinson Local lad who scores goals from an attacking midfield position. Gained impressive experience in the Northern Aliance with Carlisle City. Good on the ball and gives 100% effort in every game. Great attitude.
Ryan Errington A versatile player with lots of experience gained with Gretna FC. Can adjust to playing up front or in defence. Very direct and loves to give the opposition a hard time.
Dean Douglas Recent acquisition from Whitley Bay. Strong, talented player, with the speed of an Olympic sprinter. Great technical ability which he puts to good use, and is a proven goal scorer.
Barry Irving In his second term with the club, Barry gained his experience with Workington Reds. Elegant, astute and proven goal scorer, who also hods the ball up well and brings other players in to the game.
David Lynn Player who has had spells with Carlisle United and Workington, David can play either midield or defence and his experience has seen him have a massive influence on the club.
Dan Broadley Came to the club from Morecambe. A speedy attacker who has slotted in well and can change the course of a game. An elegant player, good on the ball, with pace and power. Dan is a great asset to the squad.
Craig Wilson Son of former Penrith player Ian, Craig came through the ranks at Carlisle City, playing on the wing. Great energy and pace down the flanks, great crosser of the ball and his throw-ins are as good as a corner.
Michael Reed Now in his third spell with us after a time at Workington, Michael is an out-and-out striker with pace and a proven record. Jointly holds the lub record for league goals scored in a season, alongside Albert Clapperton.
Alan Gray Seasoned defender who has recently bene with Workington Reds. His enthusiasm, guile and knowledge of the game will be a huge asset to the club. Previous cubs include Carlisle, Doncast, Darlington and Queen of the South.
Joe Blaylock Young player who came through the ranks and gained his experience at Carlisle City, playing in midfield. Definitely one to watch out for in the future and who will prove to be a great acquisition for the club.
Tim Fletcher Young striker whose previous clubs include Lancaster City and Coniston. Tenacious player with great energy who will score lots of goals for any team he plays in.
Karl Jackson Young local lad in his second spell with us. Great technical ability and a mean left foot. Came through the academy and reserve sides. Excellent "We're never beaten" attitude see him change many games.
Michael Brown New sgning this year from Carlisle City, but his previous cubs include Harraby. Great attitude for a youngster and this will see him have a huge influence on the club.
Mark Birch Hugely experienced defender who played some 120 games for Carlisle United between 2000 and 2003. Brings solidity to the back four and his experience will have a massive influence on the club's future.
Daniel Robinson Young midfielder/striker carrying on the family tradition, as his grandfather played for Penrith in the last 70s and 80s. Pace, enthusiasm and an eye for goal make him a great signing.
