This was a very disappointing result after a pretty poor performance ( in my opinion ). The most worrying point being that we hardly created a chance after taking an early lead courtesy of the returning Charlo with agreat header from a great cross by new boy Danny Lambert. This game was a complete opposite of the first tie on saturday when we completely bossed the game and created many, many clear cut chances but failed to finish them off. Credit must go to Morpeth who fully deserved their win last night as their young team worked their socks off after equalising and pressed us back throughout the game. The night went from bad to worse when the A19 was closed on the way back and the subsequent diversion sent us on a magical mystery tour resulting in a 1 a.m. arrival back home.
I think it's back to the drawing board, as they say, for this saturday when we travel to Aycliffe looking to complete a quick double against a team who have lost all six of their league games so far this season. I know it's early days but we need to get some more points on the board as quickly as possible.

Anyone know what the team was last night?

The only changes from saturday were on the wings with Charlo and Danny Lambert replacing Billy and Gilly. Subs were Dekka, McGill, Mitch, Keo and Curtis. Keo came on for Anth(injured) early in the first half, Dekka came on for Lambert after an hour and Gilly for Bruno in the second half of extra time.
