it was a pleasure to entertain yous fellas today, not many clubs have visited us this season and put more money over the bar than yous lads did today.. would of liked to speak of the game but i only saw the first half as there was small matter of a horse race on the box that had my attention for most of the second half.. was nice to meet mo55y, nice fella and i found it quite amusing when he said i was one of the more sensible ones that come on the forum.. ha ha now that we,v met he will get to know me.. pity about the result for yous lads today, but it was only revenge for you beating us earlier in the season.. looking forward to our visit to marske next season.. nice club, nice people. not much of this season left, all the best for next season

Totally agree with Wilfs comments, smashing club, lovely people and a cracking chairman. Look forward to seeing you all again next season.

Cheers fellas; I enjoyed the day despite the result (and failing miserably on the National!!). The first half was the best we've played for quite a few games and we thoroughly deserved to go into the break 1-0 up after a cracker from Charlo. The second half was a real disappointment. Shildon came out a completely different side and Marske just didn't perform anything like they had in the first half. In fact, once their second goal went in any confidence visibly evaporated from Marske and you just knew the end result would be 4 or 5.

On the plus side I think that the side we put out yesterday gave us a much better shape than in the last few games with Leon and Wheats at centre half with Burto and Rawsy as full backs. Plus, it was great to see Gilly back up front where I feel he's at his best. It's very difficult to say which players will be here next season (indeed it's not my job) but in my opinion we have the basis of an excellent team and Leon and Wheats could be a formidable centre back pairing next season.

One game to go and let's hope for a good day next Saturday with the home game vs Consett being followed by the Sportsmans Dinner and Player Presentation.
