I've just been clearing my desk and noticed on our original fixture list our last game was scheduled for 28th April AWAY to JARROW ROOFING. What a game that would have been if the match hadn't been switched to January when we won 3 - 0. Depending what happens in our last two games ( which I hope we manage to pick up a point or 2 from ) the game could have become a relegation decider and I don't think I could have coped with that especially as I wouldn't have been able to attend.

However, it doesn't matter now as we are pretty much safe barring two catastrophic defeats in these last two games.

As you know I have got plenty of time on my hands so I have been looking through the fixtures at our results in some detail and one surprising conclusion is that we have taken points off all but 4 teams this year with those four being Dunston ( possible champions ), Norton, Billy Town and Penrith ( who we played twice within 3 days in september ).
