The pits of last season seen the clubs first team in despair over existence, financial diffuclities and dwindling crowds brought with it the uncertainity of what the future held for one of the oldest clubs in the Northern League. Fast forward 5 months and what we have now is a transformed club both on and off the pitch with a good focus, strategy on how to proceed into the future.

The transfromation at Hebburn has seen the facility being taken over by buisnessmen with strategic vision, passion for the club (Hebburn lads) and a determination not only to make Hebburn a great place again but a team of local developed players, yes a little financial support for on field activity but nothing near what people are mentioning or the rumour mill/gossips are stating. The facility at Hebburn Sports Club (recently renamed) is still under its own transofrmation from it's "Social Club" dull style decor and dracorien running to a more family oriented and appealing establishment where spectators can enjoy a "Match day Experience" everytime they visit. If you haven't visited then when you do you'll sure get the "WOW" in terms of the visual changes you'll see, new kitchens with top notch food, outside seating areas, club house "unreconiseable" and pitches that have had some TLC over the past 2 months to help get them in better shape.

With the off field changes have also came the merge of the 1st team and growing junior section along with that the creation of a Reserve side to fill the void between Juniors and Seniors. It's looking really positive as we see both 1st Team and reserve Team sitting 4th & 3rd in their respective leagues and from 12 games between them only 1 defeat, we know it's a marathon and not a sprint but the early signs look very positive indeed. Even more pleasing is the link between the two managers of the reserve and 1st team, sharing players and communicating well to ensure the club progresses forward, the next steps on the field is regarding the gap between reserves and U18 from the youth section.

The futures bright the futures black and yellow #hornets #community
