JARROW 1 V ESH WINNING 3

With good battling draws in the last games against Whickham ,Chester le Street and Heaton stannington the home side were going into this game against Esh Winning hoping for three points , Jarrow recently beat the visitors 3-2 at Esh Winning an few changes were made from Thursdays game with youngsters George Simpson and Liam Simpson Mcgill and Nick Little included together with Max Kirkham for his first start for a while . The opening exchanges
saw the away side taking the game to Jarrow , who were slow to start .and after 18 mins Daniel Mann had a shot just wide and on 23 mins Nick Marley hit the Jarrow post the away side looked likely to score , however on 32 mins a good run by George Simpson and cross saw Liam Simpson Mcgill head narrowly wide of the visitors goal and Kriss Goss had a long range shot saved Jarrow were getting into the game when an long ball out of defence by Daryll Donnelly lead to Max Kirkham heading the ball to Steve Graham who lobbed the advancing Mark Fish to open the scoring from 30 yds on 37 mins 1-0
Disaster struck in defence on 42 mins when an cross wasn’t cleared and Daniel Kent fired home 1-1 and two minutes later an similar type of cross wasn’t dealt with again and Daniel Kent fired home 2-1 for his second with some lack luster defending by the home side

The second half followed much the same path with Jarrow unable to carve out clear cut chances and the visitors looking more likely to get an third goal . On 56 min Mick Watson came on for George Simpson on the right wing and he knocked a few good crosses into the box . On 66 mins Kris Allen was replaced by Kai Elliott and on 80 mins a good ball into the Jarrow box saw Daniel Kent complete his hat trick and an comfortable win for Esh Winning . Nick Little was replaced by Luke Collins in the dying minutes and right on full time Max Kirkham had an good chance but knocked the ball over the top .
An under par performance by Jarrow with three games in five days the efforts are showing , and another two tomorrow and Tuesday will test the squad fully .
