JARROW 2 V RYTON AND CRAWCROOK 3
The start of this game saw Ryton passing the ball well but after 7 minutes Steve Graham drove an ball from 25 yds at Dominic Mc Mahon in the Ryton goal which he couldn’t hold but no one was following up the rebound. After 10 mins an corner from the left by Lee Crammond drifted over the defence and keeper Jak Wells for the opening goal in off the far post 1-0 .
Jarrow were struggling to put any moves together and on 21 mins an harmless looking cross was turned home by the hard working Tyler Davis 2-0 to Ryton . On 23 mins an good ball by Darren Morton let in Michael Watson in the box but he shot tamely at McMahon .The visitors went further ahead when Phil Hodges shot home from close range to make it 3-0 after 26 mins . Jarrow finished the half looking jaded .
HT 3-0
The second period the home side started brighter and after 47 mins an cross from Peter Kane was turned home from close range by Darren Morton 3-1 .
The home side pushed forward and after 50 mins a cross cum shot by skipper Peter Kane deceived Mc Mahon to make it 3-2 On the hour Max Kirkham replaced Micahel Watson , and on 67 mins Arron Kar came on for Darren Morton .
Jarrow were failing to find an way through an determined Ryton defence with balls into the box being dealt with too easily . After 79 mins Jordan Mellish for Jarrow was shown an straight red card for an tackle by referee Kevin Mc Kitterick
A final sub saw Sam Attewell replace Kris Allen on 80 mins ,as the home side pushed men forward but Ryton and Crawcrook hung on for all three points . A poor first half gave Jarrow too much to do and was compounded by the red card for Jordan Mellish a bad day at the office however
The performance of youngster Liam Simpson McGill at left back and an goal for striker Darren Morton returning from an long term injury were the brighter spots .
