On Saturday we welcome Willington to Perth Green.
We have Stevie Graham, Kris Allen and Aaron Kah back in the squad all of whom missed last weeks game. We have new signing Liam Simpson-McGill joining our squad for this game who was previously with South Shields Reserves. Liam is a great young player and will be a great asset to our squad and we know what a great job the management and coaching staff at South Shields Reserves have done in assisting in Liam's development. We also expect the transfer of goalkeeper Jak Wells from Bedlington Terriers to be through in time for Saturday's game. Jak is an excellent keeper who has been with our club before.
Last week's performance against Brandon was quite simply not good enough and we really missed the presence and performances of the missing players. We went from excellent against Easington to the exact opposite against Brandon and we cannot let that continue. We have a strong squad available this weekend and we will need it against a Willington side who are unbeaten in 9 league games and sit top of the form table over the last 6 games. They sit 9 points and 4 places above us and have many strengths with great forwards. Willington beat us earlier in the season 1-0 in a tight game but they are a tougher prospect now but we would like to think we are also. Chris and I will think carefully about the selection of players given our opposition and our improvement areas from last week. We know the work ethic is excellent in our squad and the desire to keep on improving wass again evident in this week's training session. It is absolutely vital we start picking up points quickly as we have slipped two places down the league in the last week. We knew how tough this league would be and it is proving just that but equally we know what we need to do to get back to winning ways, we will be looking for that positive reaction on Saturday.

Darren Morton also started up front his first game since last April after injury . The opening saw Jarrow quick to the ball which unsettled their in form opponents . Jak Wells then pulled off three tremendous saves from Moffatt Ellis and Smith to keep the home side in the game . 0n 39 mins an shot from Peter Kane was kicked off the line with both teams pushing for the opener

On Saturday we drew 0-0 with Willington.
It was an entertaining game with both teams creating chances and both goalkeepers playing well and making a number of good saves. Willington are a very good team who have improved considerably from when we played them earlier in the season. We feel a draw was a fair result in a game that could of gone either way, and we nearly pinched it in the closing minutes with Sam Attewell going close. Chris and I must pay a huge credit to our lads who put in an excellent display. Their work rate and desire was outstanding and it needed to be against a Willington team with very good attacking options. Overall we are pleased with the point and it was a marked different performance from the week earlier. If we continue to perform in this way we will be fine in this league and again we strive for that consistency and we go again on Tuesday night against Billingham Town away. Everyone of our players were excellent yesterday, full credit to them.
