On Saturday we face Easington away.

We have David Smith unavailable and Kai Elliott injured.
However Max Kirkham, Ross Wilson and John Murray all return having missed tonight's game. Darren Morton was back in our squad tonight which is a big bonus for us following a long term injury. We are waiting news on Mick Watson's injury that he picked up tonight, hopefully he will recover in time.

We pick ourselves following defeat tonight and look forward to trying to get back to winning ways on Saturday. We beat Easington earlier in the season in a really tight game so we go there on Saturday expecting a tough challenge. Following a long lay off it was great to get back to playing tonight and with our squad now getting stronger with lads returning from injury we are hopeful we can put some form of run together starting hopefully Saturday.

Regards

Dave BELL JOINT MANAGER JFC

Easington Colliery FC 1 Jarrow FC 4
EBAC Northern League Division 2.
Jarrow made the trip down the A19 to Welfare Park for the first time in the Northern League.
Jarrow made a scintillating start moving the ball forward quickly and applying pressure high up the pitch on Easington who enjoy playing football. This was quickly rewarded after a free kick was won by Luke Collins on the left wing 40 yards from goal. Stevie Graham swung an inviting cross in to the penalty area and a header by Jordon Mellish hit Shane O'Brien on the back and looped over the stranded Donaldson in the Easington goal.
Easington Colliery FC 0 Jarrow FC 1, OG - 2 mins.
Jarrow should have made it 2-0 on 5 mins but for an excellent reaction save from Donaldson following a George Simpson cross from just inside Easington's half was met 12 yards out by Peter Kane's head who'd darted into the box and headed low and powerfully but was thwarted by the feet of Donaldson. Kane should have had a brace 2 mins later as a great through ball down the left by Luke Collins found Kane again but he dragged his shot into the near side netting from 16 yards. Jarrow continued to apply pressure to Easington Colliery FC but couldn't capitalise on the pressure. On 16 mins two tame free kicks were easily dealt with by Donaldson in the Easington goal from Graham and Kane. Easington created their first chance on 18 mins when the lively Cooke created a chance for Jack Pounder who hit it high over Gary Frater bar. This spurred Easington into life and Cooke and Pounder started creating opportunities for the Colliers. After 26 mins a good ball down the right wing by Stevie Graham released Pressling who squared back to Kris Allen who drilled a shot that stung the hands of Donaldson. On 34 mins Easington pulled level through Jack Pounder. Cooke dummied a ball through his legs and swung an inviting cross across the Jarrow box which found Pounder striding on to it and calmly slotted it over the onrushing Frater.
Easington Colliery FC 1 Jarrow FC 1, Pounder - 34 mins.
Jarrow almost immediately regained the lead when a lax pass across the back line was intercepted by Kane who slotted wide of the left post from 20 yards from a 1 on 1 situation. Up until half time Easington regained some control of the game and applied pressure without finding a way through the resolute Jarrow defence.

Easington started the second half brightly and Cooke and Pounder had a couple of half chances but on 53 mins a cynical barge in the box by O'Brien when Grant Pressling was through on goal resulted in a penalty. Kris Allen put an unstoppable penalty in the top left sending the keeper the wrong way.
Easington Colliery FC 1 Jarrow FC 2, Allen (pen) - 53 min.
Jarrow gave themselves a two goal margin on 62 mins when Peter Kane volleyed home from 12 yards after another superb curled free kick from the right just inside the Easington half by Stevie Graham.
Easington Colliery FC 1 Jarrow FC 3, Kane - 62 min.
Easington continued to play football but were unable to find a clear route to goal and more half chances followed after Jarrow's third goal. Jarrow remained resolute and moved the ball forward and broke quickly and the game was ace almost safe on 75 mins when Kris Allen released Aaron Kah down the right who beat RB Freeman for pace and cooly chipped Donaldson from 12 yards as he rushed to close Kah down.
Easington Colliery FC 1 Jarrow FC 4, Kah - 75 min.
In the final 15 minutes of the game Easington tried to move the ball forward quickly to O'Brien who had been sent up from CB but the Jarrow defence stood strong again to a period of sustained attack by Easington to hold out for a convincing victory.
