Well, that’s another season finished. And good riddance to it!

At the start of the season I would have been content with a place just outside the playoff places. But with the absolutely abysmal form in the last ten games I wonder if the board / management / players really wanted promotion. I cannot believe that any would deliberately lose games, but questions will be asked about why our form suddenly dropped off.

I am not looking to blame anyone, as every player had good games and bad ones, and the manager and board “talked the talk” all season.

Let’s hope that we can keep the core of the team for next season and really push for promotion.

Same at Spennymoor, but the fixture pile up and playing 3 home games at Harrogate didn't help, i don't believe any club would lose games to avoid promotion, especially when a potential 50k pay day if playing away to Stockport
