A good win yesterday against Staley Vegas and into the next round.

But I’m torn - do we want to have a chance of a piece of silverware , and I do believe we can go far in the Trophy if we try, or is it a waste of effort that can be better put to our League challenge.

Oh well, in the cold light of day a win is a win, and the chance of income and progress is to be welcomed, but still the risk of injury and “burn out”is worrying.

Go for the Trophy. Best day ever out in fifty years of following the Shaymen never thought in my lifetime we would win a Trophy at Wembley. Plus total prize money around £100,000 and we had a increase in attendances as well. Never understood the negative feeling especially from ex league club fans.

AFC Telford United at home next round.

A good home draw , but the proverbial banana skin etc

When do we start taking the FA Trophy seriously, or have we already?

Spartans march on !

The match against AFC Telford United last night was won with a smoothly taken penalty by Dale Hopson being the only goal of the game.

Next up - Bromley , you can tell that the second round isn’t regionalised , can’t you?

Saturday came and went.

A disappointing score line - we weren’t that bad, but defensive mistakes caused at least two of the goals

Oh well, concentrate on the League and other such cliches
