Not as good looking as the above result, but Eagley 0-6 Chorley.

Could've and should've been double figures.

Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday.

Warrington 1 Ashton 1; quite a disjointed performance when compared to Tuesday's efforts at Rhyl; blustery wind didn't help but Warrington did look to try and play a bit. First run out of the summer for a few lads who couldn't make the Rhyl game due to the traffic.

M56 was shut both ways Tuesday night and every A road in that part of Cheshire was a log-jam, took me 2 hours to get from Warrington to Chester - normally I can get to Chester from our house in an hour - three or four players never made it, latest arrivals turned up at the ground about 9pm... thankfully nobody seriously injured in the crash as far as I'm aware.

Not entirely sure what that's got to do with what I put....

I meant, how come teams in our division play the likes of Rhyl/Prestatyn/Bala Town when there's equally clubs who are just as good usually within a 10 mile radius?

Won 4-1 against Stourport Swifts...Gavin Allott with another brace, 7 in 3 games for him now. The opposition were not really up to NPL standard.
Our new manager seems to favour 3 centre backs, I haven't seen many teams play with that formation at this level. Interested to see how that pans out when the real business starts.

sorry, wrong end of stick. in our case because the rhyl manager is a mate of our manager.

We tried it a few years ago under Marrow. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. Eventually we just went back to the normal 442. I reckon it would work better for Frickley than us since you will have a more physical side.

Maybe so, we have had 2 big physical centre backs on the either side of Chris Glarvey. The most important part of that system is your wing backs...They have to be duracell bunnies and run all day, we seem to have those at the moment.

We've been up and down so far pre-season.

Beat Leek 6-0, drew with a pretty strong Sheff Utd side 1-1, lost to Notts County kids 2-1, beat a full strength Burton Albion 3-2 but then lost 2-0 at Gresley yesterday.

Getting a bit bored with friendlies now. Bring on Fylde on the 18th!
