Scored 100 goals in 3 seasons for us, despite missing large chunks of the last couple with a recurring groin injury. Keep him fully fit, and he'll no doubt find the net for you on a regular basis. He'll let his teammates know if he's unhappy with the service he gets, and expect a few bookings for mouthing off at the ref, though off the pitch he's a really nice guy.

Excellent thanks for that. Goals were the problem so lets hope little Ahmed, plus Walker and Clarkie will help us up top!!!

Anyone know anything about Dave Walker? ex Kidsgrove
Third player to go to you.

We don't have enough players for five-a-a-side.

I thought that Jim Rushe would be splashing the cash to ensure a quick return?

Any way, do you fancy your chances of a quick return to the Premier Division? What's your new squad looking like?
To be honest I don't think it will be a quick return. The squad needed a much bigger overhaul than it's had and I've not seen the new additions yet as we haven't played any friendlies.

Btw, I thought you had a great season last year and thoroughly deserved your 8th place, although it pains me to say so! Obviously I'm now hoping you suffer from second season syndrome.

Yes, we're well aware of "second season syndrome". It wasn't just the Scholars that fell to it, last season. Don't forget that Mickleover, who went up with you, also went down with you. Perhaps surprisingly, given the close rivalry, there wasn't unbridled joy at Rushall at Chasetown's relegation. We will greatly miss the local rivalry. Most of any hostility from Rushall was directed at your diminutive former manager!
