Grantham fan, we've got ilkeston first up and I noticed they finished 3rd in your league. Are they a decent side

We played them twice, we beat them twice. They finished 3rd in a 2 horse race, dont think we're the best people to ask. They haven't got a decent left back though

Gilberto's not that bad in the flesh ... :D

Hey Yaskas, last Saturday I looked at the weather forecast down in the South East and decided to make the 230 mile journey to see one of my cricket clubs Southport play Crosby's own high fliers Northern CC in the Liverpool Competition premier division.
And the sun did shine.
And Southport whupped 'em!

Not saying that's a harbinger for Marine v Buxton, though.

Paul Fletcher's blog...

There are rules governing sequencing - for example clubs will play no more than two home games consecutively and, with one eye on the financial situation at lower league clubs, the games either side of an FA Cup fixture should not both be away from home.

19 Sep we're away to Buxton, then it's FA Cup 2Q weekend, then we're away to Ossett in the Trophy, then we're away to Witton unless one or both is still in the FA Cup. As we're already drawn away in the FA Cup 1Q that's potentially one home game in between 6th September and 9th October. Gotta hope we get a cup run going to even it out then...

OK for some. We've got Ferriby and Stocksbridge on Saturdays, no idea why.

Strange that I thought we would have been on the clubs wish list that is submitted for us and Frickley to be in midweek for you.

Didnt know you were a cricket fan jhmp, enjoy a bit of cricket myself, dont travel around but sometimes watch the Northern when they are at home, with the ground only being a few minutes away.

Me too, imagine both were but the league is a law unto itself as we know.

I think so mate, our old duffers can't go too long without a pint and it's a good leg-stretch for the lads. Always made to feel welcome there too, here's to a speedy return for you guys.
