It's not biased at all. Or else there would be Matlock and FCUM players in the shortlist.

I’d just like to point out that just because one player got more votes in the original thread than another individual it didn’t guarantee them to be on the short list.

For example Chester have a much bigger fan base than Burscough so Chester fans were obviously going to vote more.

In other words - your fans may have nominated players several times, but we only counted all votes for that player as 1.

I still fail to see how you can choose a player of the season in February.

James Heyes is a Radcliffe Borough fan. Dave Spruce is a Witton Albion fan. James Griffiths and Adam Devlin are anti Northwich.

Saying "anti Northwich" is a bit extreme. That'd be like me not allowing Chester fans on here at all, things don't run like that.

Also, it's player of the year, not season.

Maybe there's another award in May for "Player of the year of which only half of it has gone with the next half to come"!

Isn't the PFA Awards voted for in December? Hardly the crime of the century to have it a bit early!!

I know I don't post on here often, but someone asked if the league hadn't got anything better to do -what else would you like the league to do?

And why don't you actually speak to someone about any problems rather than complain on here, the league officers have email addresses on the website - not sure who is the officer in charge of rubbish biased competitions, but there you go!

The PFA player-of-the year etc is in December. But it is for the calendar year.

Having an award in February makes no sense unless it's for the year commencing last February

I don't think that is correct actually, they start voting in December for the awards that they hold in early April...not too dissimilar.

Am I thinking of the World Player of the Year then?

I'll tell you what I want them to do. They already have an end of season dinner dance where they can slap each other on the back. Why don't they shoehorn it into that?
They have a Barnsley hotel booked up for this 'Player of the year' (or player of the 2 months as it is now called). Wouldn't they do better pumping some of this money as a decent prize for their ever dwindling league cup competition? At least that would ensure teams put decent sides out and would actually want to win the thing, unlike now.

I do find it a bit grating how the league have booked an opera singer for this bash, sounds a bit over the top. Meanwhile a number of NPL clubs are struggling to survive, at least two in Division 1 North may have gone by the end of the season. Not necessarily the league's fault of course, but still.

It's not over to the fat lady sings.. Sorry. It does look quite extravagant but I suppose someone is happy to pay for it.
