Absolutely fine, which made it doubly annoying that the soft side of the pennines let us down on Saturday.

That said, wrap up warm, two kagouls minimum.

Always the same one- IF it's open this time- Royal Fisheries- behind the Boyes' store which is opposite the bus station. Any opening problems, try Mr Chips over the swing bridge.

I'm afraid to say that the forecast is that winter will finally arrive with some vengeance in February.
The Buxton 5 day for example suggests increasingly below zero figures at night and not getting above freezing during the day, which must put Saturday's match v Ashton in doubt unless there is a major change in the forecast.
It's not much better for down here in the southern riviera, with very cool days and frosty nights.

Long range, February to be cold and dry (frozen pitches) interspersed with the danger of snow.

Yes JHMP, the forecast certainly does not look good, North East coast was one area on the forecast I read, as being one of the worst areas of the country to be affected.

Get out your thermal underwear and switch on your underground heating Goose, looks like you will need 'm both mate!!

The bar is behind the mainstand, you enter it from outside the ground. They have Strongbow on draught......or so I'm told

Thanks for that, Butch. You seem remarkably well-informed. I trust they will have re-stocked since YOUR last visit.

Whitby : More Fish than You can shake a rod at. Nice Plaice, too. We gave Hensfood a right Battering in the 2nd half Yesterday. Could have been any old score. Good sporting contest as well. Hardly a bad foul all Day. Don't know what You buggers have against "em!
