Here's my report from tonight's Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division Play-Off clash between Spennymoor Town and Nantwich Town where goals from Kallum Griffiths and Andrew Johnson gave Spennymoor a 2-0 win.

A fair report on the game which for long spells was played in horrendous conditions and credit to both teams for a game ,although not a classic , was hard fought and kept the near 900 spectators entertained. Spennymoor always seemed more likely to win but it took a keeper mishandle and a fine solo effort .
On to Saturday and Stourbridge game , which I think will attract a large crowd with away support of 300 plus and should be belter .

A fair report, a tight game, where the first goal was always going to be important, the softness of it seemed to deflate us for a while, 3-0 would have been harsh, but no complaints on the result on the night. And a lovely 4 hour trip back to Cheshire to round off a lovely evening, must have passed 50,000 cones on the M6 and 2 workmen.

Some photos from the game. Not the usual standard second half but conditions were challenging to say the least. Well done to both teams for playing in those conditions and still creating some decent football. Onto Saturday now and a massive game with Stourbridge.
