No dont think I can remember Lairds having the Holy Brown Stuff, but I do remember their Soup being most welcome on a cold weekday night!

Absolutely disgusting food prices in the bar at Grantham. £3 for a pie and then £1 for gravy/peas/curry sauce. Never seen anything like it. If you go to Grantham eat at the burger van outside.

Got treated to a free pie and gravy at Rushall yesterday. Thanks to Bob (Pic of the Bunch) for that, very generous.

Pleased to say I enjoyed it and I also let everyone else know in the club before the game as I scoffed it in no time, so I suspect sales peaked then. See the Chorley FC twitter page for a picture.

10/10

Starting a nice piece of beef fillet off on the bbq as we speak, then finish off in the oven with some roast potatoes (Delia style), yarkshire puds, cauliflower cheese, broccoli, and of course lashings of the holy brown stuff, and a nice bottle of red wine to finish off!

Bump!

So, about a quarter of a way into the season, do we have any runaway leaders in the gravy and other foods stakes (steaks)? I was alarmed to hear a couple of the Whitby lads weren't impressed by Chorley's fayre this season. Although one of them did have a b*rger.

Chorley's grub was excellent last season. Those pies were quality. Not even a stocking hangover and the torrential Chorley rain could put me off.

Look after our boy Qualtar whilst he is there. Hope he has a good loan spell for you.

When I was at Mossley earlier in the year the gravy was a bit watery, but free.
