AVERAGE AGE
I'm not 100% on Paul King's age but the average age of the squad is currently sitting at about 23.5 years old, this is a touch older on average than the squad that finished last season.

Last season's starting squad was on average circa 1.3 years younger

GOALS
As a squad they have scored 112 goals for the Spartans in total (Robbie has 99 of these).

Last season the squad had scored 15 goals between them on the opening day (Hooks 7, Phillips 5, Groves 2 and Cave 1)

DEBUTS
8 of the players listed above have never featured for the club in a competitive game.

there were 15 players eligible for their debuts on the opening day of last season.

What do you reckon Blyth's chances are this season?

Personally it's heart and head time.

Heart says we have a good squad with a good blend of youth and experience, should be pushing for a play-off spot.

Head says we have the square root of bog all chance of doing anything, and I'll be happy with mid table obscurity.

Nurse!!!

Not great, we're very weak in midfield, have little cover in defence and goal keeper wise we're pretty ordinary. Unless we add 2-4 experienced players to this side we're going to be struggling I think. We're no where near ready and will be using the first part of the season as an extension of pre-season.
