Another tough away game this evening against Winsford. After an awful August so far the Saxons need to take a draw at least from this game to end the month on a positive note. Hopefully they'll have the bit of luck that seems to have been lacking so far this season, can cut out ridiculous defensive errors and stick away the chances created.

Not the most exciting game of football last night, think both teams seemed to lack a bit of something upfront. Stockport's best chance came when your forward rounded our keeper but found no-one waiting in the middle for his square ball across goal. Winsford came closest when winger Brian Matthews cut inside and fired a low shot that hit the post. Second half was much better than the first but neither side could create that one golden opportunity. Think a draw was the right result in the end.

Agreed, was not the most exciting game at all. A real midfield battle with very few chances at either end. I thought we were unlucky not to have a penalty at the end & was of the opinion that the disallowed goal should have stood, but it would have been unjust if we had have taken all three points to be fair.
