According to the North Riding FA website the match will be played on;

19/02/13

19:45

GRANGETOWN BOYS CLUB F.C. (First) vs PICKERING TOWN COMMUNITY F.C. (First) at Thornaby.

Will there be programme? Grangetown produced one for the game with Scarborough Town earlier in the season.

Full time score Grangetown Boys Club 0-2 Pickering Town (At Teesdale Park) North Riding Senior Cup Quater Final

Grangetown Boys club welcomed Pickering Town to Thornaby FC ground Teesdale Park for this North Riding quater final. It took 20 minutes for the match to get going with Pickering coming close when Liam Salt was through on goal and Alan Shepard put in a great tackle and the pikes had the following chance 5 minutes later when Liam Salt saw his effort scooped up by Brendan Slater with Pickering players protesting that the ball had gone over the line. In the 27th minute Grangetown had a player sent off when Alan Shepard was sent off for a second bookable offence. Pickering then had two more chances with the first one coming from a free kick with Jamie Paterson firing over and Pickering then won a penealty and Liam Salt stepped up and he put it down the middle with Brendan Slater making a great save.

Half time Grangetown Boys Club 0-0 Pickering Town

It was Grangetown who had the first chance in the second half when Darren Morris fired wide. Grangetown then went down to 9 men when Darren Morrison was sent off by referee Matthew Dicicco for foul & abusive language. Pickering took advantage of Grangetown being down to 9 men when they took the lead with 54 minutes gone when Liam Salt scored straight from the free kick. The visitors then had the following chance when Chris Gowan's effort just went wide and the Pikes continued to dominate the game when John Hedge's effort was hit straight at the keeper. The visitors then wrapped up the match ith 87 minutes gone when from a Grangetown corner with the Grangetown keeper Brendan Slater going up for the corner which was cleared and the ball fell to Ged Dalton who found himself with the ball in his own half and he took a few steps and tapped into the empty net from 35 yards.

Well to be honest i thought this wasn't the best of games and that it was very one sided. I alao thought that the referee Matthew Dicicco had a fantastic game and got all the big calls right.

Great report, Matthew.

You might like to go to Pickering Town's website and read the match report on there. It seems that they did not appreciate Grangetown's rather ROBUST approach to the game (not my words).
