Incase people dont know, found out during the week that my old team sherburn have folded.
A brilliantly ran club with a committee better than most NL clubs. Sad times

How much longer can this league survive ? Down to 7 clubs from circa 20 at start of last season. It is no longer a financial proposition based on following criteria .
6 home league games plus say 6 home cup games .in 12 games
Ground rent £400 say
League and Cup Fees £350 say
Match Officials - say £50 minimum per game - £600
Laundry 12x £10 say £120
Food after game say 12 x £25 €300
I calculate that to be circa £150 per home game
And that is before you buy any equipment I'd strips, balls medical supplies etc.

I think its a long time since ground rent has been that low.
Non the less its absolutely disgraceful that the Durham Alliance has been brought down to this. Once great League going to ruin . If it had been amalgamated with Wearside League I bet there would be a lot more than 7 teams left in it. Hopefully Durham have a plan to keep it going . This is what happens when certain peoples egos wont back down for the good of the clubs. The Durham Alliance have manure in their own nest by the looks of it. Well done
