The local jungle drums are claiming Andy Colledge is no longer involved with Murton. I hope this isn't the case as he's the best thing to happen to them for a long time.

Just spoken to Andy, he said he couldnt commit as he had a load on with both Murton and the juniors at Plainsy so something had to give and he is stepping down from Murton.

I've had many people messaging me to ask what's happening at Murton, as far as I'm aware commitee member Brian Maxwell is taking over the job, dont know if that's permanent or untill they find someone else

I personally, have left for my own reason's, needless to say a difficult decision, but an unavoidable one in the circumstances.

Rather than cause any unrest at what is basically a great club, I cant and wont go into detail's,

Best of wishes to a great set of players, for the rest of the season...

Don
Thats a shame that you have left Murton i remember speaking to you when you played Brandon Reserves and everything sounded great for you and the club but unfortunatly things do change but hope to see you in a dugout elsewhere in the future

It must be bad if lads like Andy (who don't know really) but don who I know very well leave a club because knowing don he loves his football and one of the best blokes going straight down the middle and found him very very honest.so for them both to go well something.two top blokes leave a good job there were getting things on the pitch right but what's going on behind the scenes??? Good luck to don and Andy with what ever there do next.for me murton committee should try and get the two of them back if there want to win the league or even win next game cost the players love the two of them so what next? Is Brian Maxwell a manager (or a wannabee manager)

I totally agree with all your comments niknak, in my opinion I think murton will struggle now, I can see quite a few players leaving aswell,

The best management team murton have had for a very long time, massive shame what's happened but fully understand there reasons...

Andy and Don are 2 great blokes who deserve better and hopefully they will get back in football sooner rather than later.

It's also time for me to call it a day at murton, it's been a hard slog the last few years but we had turned a corner and I thought we were heading in the right direction, can't get my head round what's gone on in the last 3 months.... Time for me to move on

I hear that Lee Collins has taken over at Murton, new sponsor and a healthy budget.
