Brandon Utd Reserves 2-4 Murton

Murton probably deserved it but tale of 2 penalties...one given to Murton (rightly and possible red for the keeper) and a foul 3yds inside the box but given as a free kick to Brandon.

But I'll never get used to this rolling subs craic

Coxhoe 3 - 4 Dunston Holmside

Bagnall x2, Tumelty, Henderson.

Scrappy performance from us, but we were never losing throughout the game. Bosses the first half and were 2-0 and cruising, Coxhoe scored 2 quick goals from nothing really and got themselves well back into the game just before half time. Second half in all fairness Coxhoe had the better of the chances and played better. We were continuing to create chances tho and took 2 in the second half. Fair result would have probably been a draw (from a neutral perspective) however these are the games you need to steal and scrape out a win. Next game on Saturday at home, hopefully make it 3 out of 3.

Good performance as a team from the lads which was missing last season, a few new faces so hopefully we'll do ten times better than last year.

I must of been at a different game cos even the lad who was fouled said he thought it was outside. And he did have the best view.

Usually you can go from the players reaction, and I didnt see "any" protesting to be honest, only the Brandon bench, which they had every right to and obviously anyone would have done exactly the same, only natural....

As far as the game itself went, I was very pleased with the result, although we looked a little flat at times, but considering Brandon Res. whom had a decent squad out with four or five 1st team NL players in the squad, good to grind out a result..

Quite pleased at the decent standard of the officials thus far and also both teams we have played have been very hospitable... :D

Just to let everyone know that Ryan Mundell, the 18year old Brandon keeper, who was injured last night in the second half went to hospital for x-rays and his arm is not broken. There is some damage to his tendons but it is not as bad as was initially thought. Should be back playing in a few weeks or so. Get well soon Ryan.
