If I'm honest I wasn't particularly impressed with Halifax when we played them. But to be fair after we played them twice in quick succession they went on a decent run. Signed Charles on loan I think.

Chorley were excellent at our place and we somehow managed to beat them 2-0 (our only clean sheet in the first half of the season I think).

Salford looked ok in our home leg and very good in our away tie.

Geographically I would want Chorley to go up, plus I enjoy my visits to the Shay.

Interested to hear Halifax's fans view on the situation as they wanted their manager out a few weeks ago. Do they still?

The majority are giving him the benefit of the doubt at the moment. He has proven the doubters wrong including me. There was a bit of a rift when he was getting stick and giving it back after the Stalybridge defeat -from there was a turnaround in results. He is getting the results which is all that matters at the moment.
Hope he can achieve promotion on Saturday which looked improbable a couple of months ago.

Really looking forward to Saturday's visit to the Shay, am expecting a really hard fought game between two sides who can be quite physical. We did exceptionally well to knock out Kidderminster after losing the home leg, went with a game plan and saw it through. Expecting a real large travelling contingent to support the team to the hilt on Saturday. May the best team win. :D come on Chorley.

The scoreline makes it look more comfortable for FGR than it was. Rovers had enough good chances to win it but couldn't take them.

I think they'll find L2 tougher than their moneybags owner expects. As for Tranmere, it will get tougher for them now that the parachute payments have stopped. They'll start as favourites in August though, that said.

Location: NOTE FOR THE SMALL MINDED: My views are my own and do not reflect those of any other Halifax fans.
What a fantastic occasion Saturday was, incredible turnouts from both set of fans. The atmosphere was among the best I can ever remember at The Shay and the game could have gone either way. Have a look at this video - the scenes from around 3 and a half minutes in: can anyone believe this was a match in tier 6?

Never thought it would be anywhere near 8,000 crowd. Chorley brought nearly 2,000 excellent for them.
Fantastic support from both sets of fans.

Well FGR finally did it in the end. At least we don't have to play them next season.
