I agree that Youngy has been pretty much spot on with most signings, but jury is certainly out with proudlock imo. The lad has obvious proven ability due to his previous clubs. Its obvious that his attitude has been his downfall as otherwise he would still be playing full time. The question i think is can young get his attitude right. A few have said he's carrying abit of weight, dont particular think thats all true as he looks ok. His fitness level though is poor. Give me Wildey or simmo anyday, pride and passion over ego's is what we need

2-1 win over aston villa xi thought we played well and sarcevic goal was a contender for goal of the season already. thought jarman played well but we really do need a goalscorer , proudlock had best game for us imo today still unfit tho.

Halifax Town 0 - 1 Scunthorpe United

Another good performance against what has been the strongest opposistion we have faced so far this season. Scunthorpe put out a very very strong team.

Halifax's fitness levels look brilliant. Never seen a part time side as fit before.

Paul Marshall and JasonnJarret signed on too - which is great news

Yep I thought 2-1 flattered Villa. If our finishing/final delivery had just been a little bit better at times then I think the scoreline would have been a fairer reflection of our dominance.

We followed in Halifax's footsteps again today and became another phoenix club to have won the Peter Swailes Shield.

The 3-0 victory over North Ferriby was very convincing, we looked a league above them at the very least. Marc Williams claimed a hat-trick for the Blues to cap off a terrific all-round contribution from the lad. Jarman also played very well once he came on. Ashley Williams continues to impress in the middle of the park and at the back we coped very well with Ferriby's threat.

Fleetwood Town next up, Tuesday night.
