With the reduced money offered to him this seemed almost inevitable. TNS arent short of a few bob and its no wonder they wanted him back.

He was a revelation last season, his 36 goals were so critical in our debut season. This term less impactive but still scored some bigguns such as Chasetown & Matlock. Thanks Michael, top player and a top bloke.

As for us, we really have no excuse for not bringing in a 20+ goals a season striker now. Up front is the only area I'm unconvinced about just now.

wasnt going to comment further but having read this on deva chat i think this sums him up perfectly, couldnt of put it better myself

"Wilde definitely a legend, largely for encompassing the new club's ethos on and off the pitch. A player of quality and battle on it and a true ambassador off it. I almost think it was worth keeping him as fans need a legend. It just makes a football club that bit more enjoyable. The length of time he was here is irrelevant. Timing is everything. Geoff Hurst is a legend for one single game in which he scored a hat trick, not for a long, illustrious career.

You can trust Neil Young, but some of the comments here are a little disrespectful to a man who has been brilliant for our club in all areas. We've no idea whether he'd cut it in the BSN, we haven't seen enough of this league to know. I've been sceptical of Young's decisions in the past and been proven wrong so I won't criticise him for this, but please, less of the "Wilde wasn't that good anyway" themed posts. He was that good, he was an absolute superstar for us and given that he may be reading this, I think he deserves a little more respect that speculation about his suitability for a league with which we're unfamiliar."

Think he will walk the Welsh League. although i dont post on this forum very often i like to follow all non league through the NLP and i think that Chester will do well next season because of there fan support which is fantastic for non league football
