Wasn't there due to work but by all accounts not good at all.

Then I get a text to say dan smart on the list today, a huge loss, very talented striker, very good goalscorer and a great lad. Huge void to fill.
Going to have to dig in next few games, I'm hoping a few wins confidence comes back, but I hope smarty has a change of heart

where have the posts gone? Oink oink if it is an internal matter it shouldnt be on here and even if it hadnt been put on here someone would have commented on it being strange goings on.

hope it doesnt effect birtley playing wise , but with the departure of those named i would imagine a large group would follow.

Got to agree Foss, they will not come to you, you have to chase them, feeling sorry about a situation you dont take control over is a recipe for nothing to happen.

A while ago every Birtley game was advertised throughout the town, cannot remember the last time i saw anything like that.

As an aside a close friend of mine was approached about helping as Barrys assistant, however when the manager is having his hands tied as only wanting to finish top6, not go for promotion, it hardly sends out a message of come to Birtley does it.

Before he could answer, barry got the heave ho, he now thinks they are a laughing stock as well, so to say people are not talking about it is wide of the mark.

I have nothing to do with Birtley Town FC by the way, for 2 reasons, they play in the wrong colours, and they persistently work over our sunday morning team with their antics, what goes round comes round sometimes.

Im sure barry will get another crack at management and would expect his close friends and players to follow him, he is that sort of bloke, they would run through walls for him, if nthat happens BT will be really in trouble.

Never heard so much codswallop in all my life. With the squad we have a modest 10th place would be about right. We picked up points where we never should have last season.
Who bought the paint for the stands fos???? Thats right mate it was me!!!!

You can say what you want but the very small committee we have are volunteers and you can never knock a volunteer, whether they do things rightly, wrongly or indifferently!!! Im one of the players who has thanked baz and porks for the yr and a bit they have given the club, and wished them well for the future. They ll be back in management soon id suspect!!!

ask what happened to the money from WISECALL ask about the lies spewed out time after time in front of everyone in a meeting in the catholic club the list is endless ive been back twice paid my money and still had little remarks made to me which i wont go into to dont need to once staright after the north shields match this season and you expect me to pay for a can after the match who you kidding.

Its 15-20 more quid than we d have had!!!! Im sure there are rules in place that say you must go back for a drink and some food after the match, and footy cards etc may be sold then to generate extra cash!!

Foss mate i ve sat back and listened to both sides have a dig at each other so you arent blameless either mate. Wisecall pulled his money out and that was that. Alot of teams struggling need the money off drinks etc, as we cant all have a millionaire chairman!!! Best of luck in the FA Cup this weekend anyhow bud.

Codswallop eh, its the stonewall truth, and if you dont like it, and want to bury your head in the sand, good on you, it just sums up your contribution nicely. Have it first hand, barry gets a job, and they are away.....

By the way did you ever get planning for the fence around the pitch, little birdie says its outstanding????
