This Saturday we head back over to Cumbria to play Northbank at their Sheepmount complex.

The game is Round 1 of the Team Valley Carpets Challenge Cup and comes only a matter of weeks after our league game there that finished 1-1.

Northbank recorded a thumping 5-0 win against Gateshead A in their last game whereas we're in good form and remain unbeaten in our last 7 games - winning 5 and drawing 2.

Kick off is 2pm and there must be a result on the day.

Northbank Carlisle 1-3 Rutherford

Mick and his boys stormed into Round 2 of the Challenge Cup with a stirring second half performance in Cumbria.

The hosts were on top in the first half and deservedly took the lead on 18 mins and this is how it stayed until half time.

But a great team move was finished off by Dylan Howourth and then Gary Browne had a deflected effort find the net to turn the tie in our favour. To finish the scoring Davey Chambers scored our third to send us through.

This extended our run to 8 games unbeaten (6 wins, 2 draws) and the team is brimming with confidence. As always we wish our opponents well but the games simply cannot come quickly for us.

Next up is a home game against Ponteland Utd next Saturday.
