Won 4-0 (HT 1-0)

Warburton, Chappell, Bentham, Connor.

Glasshoughton had two players dismissed, one very early for a stamp (which they argued was accidental, but looked pretty intentional from where i was sat), the other must've been towards the end of the half when i was off getting a pie in. Would be interested to hear what happened.

Hard to really judge the performance given we played against nine men for so long, but we really made the extra numbers tell last half-hour, and could've scored a couple more.

Sam (Hare?) was excellent, and the forwards again.

Cheers Stech,
Ruins a game when you lose a man, let alone two.
Hope the pie was worth it?

We've been on the receiving end of a refereeing performance like that on more than one occasion.

The first sending off - I mean, 'Killer' reacted to the 'stamp' immediately and the referee had no hesitation either. The liner saw it too I think. To me it looked like the player was trying to stay on his feet, off balance & trying to plant a foot down - looks like he planted it in the wrong spot...

The second red - I dunno, the two players crossed in mid-air, 'Killer' landed in a heap and the red card came out, no hesitation from the ref again. I didn't see the contact - possibly an elbow & certainly not as clear cut as the first incident.

It's hard to assess the performance; Welfare made it as difficult as they could but eventually started to tire and we took full advantage of that. We could've used the width better to stretch them & we're favouring the 'dug-out' flank again; certainly during one spell in the game Welfare were comfortable defending that tactic - until we started using the 'Leaky-Creaky' flank as well, then they got pulled all over the place. Martin was unlucky to get the hook in a tactical substitution - but it paid off, we got the breakthrough.

It was nice to get through but the manner of it, the controversial stuff, took the shine off.
