Funny old thing football.
Picked up my Sunday Times late this morning (yes I read it here in the Irish hinterland, a few Irish related stories and editorials, Gaelic football(don't mention that to me), but a good overall sports section and book reviews etc).
On the comprehensive footie results page, under NWCL is said Barnoldswick 2-1 Maine Road. I sighed to my self and then thought, not too bad, 'Wick are a good team, in second place, you know, the stuff you say to yourself when gutted.
Look at the club website and it says we lost 4-0. Checked NWCL results, and sadly, it was true. Bad day at the office or what?
I'd take this up with the sports editor at the Times, but he'd probably say "What league is this lucozade whittering on 'bout? Ensure we delete all NWCL stuff from now on" So I wont bother, looks good to see the team score in the Times.

Not an easy place to get a result.

4-0 is not easy on the eye though.

Hope 'Road' can find a quick fix to get back on track.

Lets hope the superb early season results will quickly return.

Still no feedback as to what went wrong.

The Manchester Evening News has the reslt as a 2-1 defeat as well!

The delights of Norton away tomorrow night. I'm working at The Etihad, but would hope to get home, have quick shower and make the k.o....traffic permitting. For those who don't know, the ground is only a stone's throw from Port Vale.

So... what? Was it 2-1 or 4-0?

We're scoring a lot, but we're conceding a lot as well. This season's a mad 'un so far.
