Paul Broom and Luke Black retained from last season's squad.

John Elliot does not bank roll us like Alan Oliver bank rolls you - his business dried up and so did the budget...

Would hate to know the un even spread of budget with Gav receiving a lot of it and other lads not getting anywhere near the same....

in terms of trying to get sponsprship - nothing wrong with that and good luck - and that everyone donate a pound initiative is quality - but dont say the budget stayed the same last season Paul mate - as that is false!!!

Thought West were bankrolled?

And AFAIK, Aycliffe don't pay big wages.

West will have you believe they can pay players in excess of £200 a week on crowds of 90 a week! John Elliott does bankroll them, I know this for a fact as John is my former boss, and I still keep regular contact with him.

TRQ is quite correct, our wage bill is very little more than our gate revenue. Allan Oliver does not top up the shortfall, our fundraising ventures do. If we paid big wages, we'd have been able to keep the likes of Elliot Gardner last season, when West came and practically doubled his lot.

I hope this closes this discussion. As previously stated Steven, if this was any of your business I'd let you see our books. But it isn't, so I won't.

Enjoy your season.

Perhaps you could have a word and get Brownie a game this year!
