At the AGM it was voted to be 5 subs for 7 (which is on the ddsl team sheet) and you could only register 35max players.
Afterwards it was then said that DFA have thrown the 35max rule out!!

Then it all changed again at the August meeting to been 3 subs from 7 (which only makes more players pissed off for not playing)
DFA then said it could either be 3 from 7 or rolling subs!! DFA then decided to santioned the 35max registered player rule (which is just a totally pointless rule)

So the last thing that I read (just tried to look on the league rules on the ddsl website but it won't let me on) is that its 3 from 7 subs and 35max registered players.

I think what the DFA do is receive new league rules requests from the clubs/leagues then ask a monkey what he thinks

I am sure Dale or Chris may pop on and update you lads and clarify things.
They have used this forum positively in my opinion with results and a few issues at the start of the season and long may it continue, this can only help. However the ddsl forum on the website is pretty poor and full of spam

aye maz , davy from netpark got it just about right mate (can`t be sure about the monkey like)
the subs rule was misquoted to us and although we , as well as most teams at the meeting , thought five from seven was the way to go , dfa said it was either stick with three from seven or go with rolling subs , which no one wanted.

as for the 35 player rule , the dfa got stuck into it because , apparently after the fact that they had voted on it at the agm, a number of teams disagreed with it. but as it was voted in by the teams at the time the general feeling was that it would make a mockery of the opinions of the teams if it was allowed to be changed.
personally i don`t think it hinders or helps teams either way, but maybe should have been tweeked a little before it went in to cover transfers , players not wanting to play etc.

I would agree with the not helping/hindering all clubs should be able to manage in my opinion with a pool of 35 but this has been discussed to death elsewhere on this forum.

Again Dale the fact you have came on and tried to explain a bit better is a huge help and i would like to think that its appreciated by more than just me. I have always been quick to criticise the league but i would also hope that people realise im even quicker to praise so keep on using the forum mate.

Totally agree Maz its great that someone from DDSL comes on here and clears things up.
To be fair not many people come on here having a go at DDSL or any other league most of the time people are looking for information not having a pop at anyone.
Whilst I'm on, Dale a small PA system at ddsl meetings would help everyone hear what Graham or whoever is saying, I think quite a lot of information is missed by those sitting next to and past the bar :D

Dave thats credit to the league then that nobody feels the need to twist on here, and it shows that the league committee that use r read the forum are taking on board what is said or discussed on here. I for one have been quick to shoot at the ddsl but fair play to them all and credit where its due.

Just a quick note its awful to hear the assualts taking place in other leagues, the stockton league seems to have a few numpties ruining things, esh squaddie has reported on the incident in the conny league and a teamate of mine at Birtley was telling me how in midweek a game was abandoned after a player set about the ref. I can only remember the lad from ferryhill trying to head butt a ref in the ddsl but thankfully our league seems relatively free from loonballs.
