Belle Vue 4 3 Barley Mow WMC

Went 3 down in quick time, but then reduced the arrears to 3-2 just before half time.

After being run ragged in first half, came out in second half, much better formation, and equalised.

Only for BV to score a winner close to time.

Rumour central has it that BV are to be deducted 6 points for fielding ineligable players.

Whoever has the BV on sunday, the pitch was unplayable at full time, and the ref almost called it off at half time, he had a conversation with our goal keeper, being unable to see any lines on the pitch around the 18 yard area.

Disappointed to lose after coming back from 3-0 down but our luck was out when Burnsy hit the post near the end from a great run and shot. Pitch was terrible and will be ruined for the rest of the season I think. It was like a swamp and my hamstrings are killing me this morning from playing on such a heavy pitch! We were overan and conceded some poor goals first half, the sun didn't help either. But at least we showed some team spirit to get back into the game and make it a contest.

Special mention for the referee who was on a different planet most of the time. Blew his whistle for any contact but forgot his cards, did not understand how to play advantage, didn't give a red card when our player was brought down last man when rounding the keeper, and disallowed a BV goal for offside when the pass wasn't even forward.

A bit better from the Barley and if we can get a few more players back fit we'll be ok!

aye chinny pitch was heavy and poor, could do without rain for a bit and get it rolled, not much chance of either really.

After going 3 nil up we should have went onto win easyily . poor defending a bit of luck and good spirt got the barley back into it. but in all honesty we were ripping them apart and should have scored a lot more in the 1st half.

The rumour of a points deduction might well be correct. A player we thought was registered was not and he has played 2 games , his name was on team sheet both times so we werent trying to cheat or get away with playing him under a different name etc
Its a really bad and big mistake which will more than likely end our chances of defending the league succesfully. But its happened and we have to get on with it, will do all we can to gain as many points as possible and see where it takes us. Hopefully a few good cup runs this season.
