Gateshead and District Premier League

Barley Mow Club P-P Washington Biddick

Second game of the season and the Barley Mow Club apparently could not field a team. What does the league do in this situation?

The stupid thing about this, is even if we had a team today, the game could not have been played.

Looks like some bright spark lined the pitch, then, cut it, meaning the lines were all gone!!!!!

Sad day for BMWMC, in all my time have never been in a situation where WE could not field a team.

For all the embarissment in the situation, have to feel for Baz and Ox, who spend a load of time getting the show on the road.

Evidently had 14 last night, but the usual cry-offs brought it down to 6 this evening, unfortunately thats non-league football for you.......

Washington lambton Village 2-2 new brancepth! Horrific banter from the new brancepth team including thr sideline toward the ref! Every decision appealed with aggression and a lack of respect!

The type of crack thst makrs you realise why we're struggling for refs in the league!

Who was the bald guy up front for the buffs, typical old fashioned centre forward??

Tony Healer, very experienced centre forward played for various NL clubs and always been at the buffs, still fit as a fiddle at 37 and still a handful and still scoring goals. Playing for the Whitehills in the Durham Alliance

I watched a bit of the buffs game and thought Healer was different class. Held the ball up well, won almost every header, dont think I saw him give the ball away cheaply once. He made it look so easy and at 37 fair play to the bloke.

Sorry not been able to post for a while. Anyway can anyone tell me what the crack is with the barley from lasttThursday night ? They could not field a team . Is the game awarded to the opposition ? Do barley get deducted 3 points and game still to be played? Nothing happens and game played at a later date?

Think we have to appear in front of league, have our knuckles rapped, pay a fine, and get deducted 3 points, dont know about game being replayed, might find out for tonight when we play you!!!!

3 games in and we are already thinking of it as a season on transition, got to get a buch of lads together who turn up every week.

In that respect we are not too different from many teams.
