A poor 5 minute spell had us 3-2 but credit to the lads on turning it around

Gateshead & District Div 1

Keel Boat 2-1 Red Lion

Red Lion fielded a team with oldest player at 20yrs old and it showed. They need a few players with a presence and experience to help them along. Its ok for junior sides to play outfield players in goal, but not at adult level, when the keeper is at work and the Lions goalkeeper works most sundays so they should be looking to sign another keeper on. Plenty of effort but just lacking the quality needed in goal, at ctr back, ctr midfield and main striker, basically the spine of the team, sort them probs out and they could have a good season.

Aye Chinny new nickname of "The Entertainers"!!!!!!

Seriously though will have to improve for Thursday against the biddick.

Would also congratulate saltwell social, said last year they were not far away, and needed a couple of lads up front, they now have that, and allied to good movement led us a merry dance at times, moving Anth (nice to see him again), into midfield stemmed the flow a bit, and goals followed in the second half, and to saltwells credit they never gave up.

jubilee 5-6 stormont main

see saw game in which we trailed 2 times before leading 5-3 with 20ish left then somehow lost the game 6-5, we really need to see games out or we'll be in trouble this year

Houghton Comrades Social Fc 3 - 1 Pelaw Grange Dog Track FC .
very good game played in good spirit. pelaw started the better hitting the bar in the first 15mins, houghton finished the 1st half the stronger
2-0 but pelaw pulling back to 2-1 then having a shot cleared off the line
houghton got a 3rd in the final few minutes, good look to houghton for the rest of the cup.

Yeh referee awarded a penalty and red card given, lad subsequently headbutted the ref busting his nose. The lad has been arrested and charged with common assault.
