Yes i played mate, very physical battle but at times the tackles and off the ball incidents just werent what a physical footy game is about, but at the end of the day we were 3-2 up with 2 minutes late and chucked it away.

As for the ref, i dont like passing judgement, ive had this ref numerous times and he is spot on but im afraid i felt he was intimidated not only by the players but the homes sides vociferus sideline. There was a tackle on davey southern late in the 2nd half, 2 footed by the sub, ref said well he had only just came on, that in itself summed it up. Good luck though to Helford, if a club wants to win a county cup you have to overcome footballing sides and physical sides aswell and at 3-2 up we shouldve defended better but........ we are out.

Sort of reply i would expect of yourself honest but fair. greame (the ref) should be dealing with two footed tackles at any level, don't think he'd say that the player had just come when he's reffing @ conf. north level with dreaded assessor in tow. this kid had the final last year and to me was at fault for brownie been sent off. although the tackle which brownie made on alex wilson was a red no chew the lad was fouled 2 mins earlier by kieran ? at knee hieght which went unpunished he had a good right to be full of it. mind this was my view from the stand. two footed tackles are red to me no matter the standard or time in the match or the score?

If thats the same fella then IMO he got a lot more wrong than he got right in that Final. Couldn't talk to him either. Probably will make it to a high standard going off those attributes :( Please don't assume sour grapes either. Better team won, etc.

As for the Helford-Barley game, wasn't there and can't pass judgement but if the statement is true about the lad just coming on being a reason not to book or send him off, then that is absolutelty embarrasing from the referee.
