Todays game in the end was a fair result, helford had their chances to end the game in the first half but didnt take their chances, as for the ref the helford lads thought more decisions went the other way, helford are a physical side but to be fair just being just physical doesnt win you games and a side thats has only been beaten once in 2010 and 2011 clearly has a lot of quality and the end reslut brought no complaints from the barley boys

Ive watched Helford a lot this season, and they have some quality players who at the same time can mix it up as well as play some good football.
I knew they would surprise a few teams in the competition this year, because besides everything ive mentioned, they have an unbeleviable team spirit,
Well done Helford keep on surprising them

I dont disagree, Helford have some very good footballers and they also have the players who give football a bad name. The number 8 in midfield was tremendous for Helford today then the number 9, Kevin Devoid is a numpty just looking for trouble. Mix it up? Give your head a shake son and also sort the line out. I mean who turns up with a t-shirt on and a pair of flip flops on shouting abuse at everyone in earshot? I can tell you, a Clown with a big red nose.

STANDING IN THE RAIN.................GIVE YOUR HEAD A SHAKE SON

Sorry father
didnt realise there was a dress code for county cup supporters

I wasnt at the game today and was commenting on games I'd watched helford play previously.
But too be honest I find the childish way you call people on these posts disrespectfull

But then its easy to sit on a computer and ridicule people, if this bohered you so much why not air your greviance to the people concerned on the day ..............................................no............... I thought not

First of all, I'd like to add that I am connected to the Brandon Sports Club team and have no allegiance to either Peterlee or Birtley.. Secondly, I think certain members on here would do well to not get personal about certain players. If you wouldn't say it to his face, don't say it on here.

Nowt worse than a keyboard warrior.

Having an honest and potentially heated debate on what you felt went right or wrong is one thing, but to personally name and abuse others is a step to far.

Oh and Happy New Year to the lot of yer!

I played in the game yesterday for Peterlee Helford... Amazing how oblivious your sideline really are! Kev 'Devoid' refrained from doing anything, he had a little jog towards your sideline till you all went quiet and that was it! Amazing how selective your memory really is... You must not of been looking for them synical fouls your team persistently done when they were in the lead, or the late lunges from your left back twice, or the foot your cm left in first half, or the elbow that knocked our player out.... The list goes on, fact is I'm just making a point, we could easily of said the same if we had been beaten, difference is, we wouldn't and neither have your team strangely

I would like to apologise on behalf of any1 from Helford if any nasty private messages have been sent!

The game must have been great to watch, some end to end stuff, good goals ect but wouldn't say there was to many bad tackles and can honestly say there was only 1 tackle that went unpunished with a yellow when it should have been. Our sideline is a little loud and can be intimidating but so are most! Kev Devine responded to an away fans comment which prompted his reaction so although he shouldn't have responded the away fans where hardly blameless.

The way the players and fans celebrated was a 100% normal for a team that was expected to lose to a better side and pulled it back from being behind wether it be Sunday morning football or the fa cup!!!

What was wrong with the last goal!! No fouls where committed and kev and Taylor where both behind the ball when I played it across!

On the day I think Helford deserved the win and I understand you are saying it's not sour grapes but that's how it is coming across!!

this is quite funny, only the sideline complaining, the funnyest thing is not one of the players had any complaints through the game, we can all sit and watch a game and comment on what we thought but the most important people are the players, just seems as if the barley sideline in 30 years havent came across a physical game where altho there were a few meaty tackles and words exchanged the end result was a fair one. A good side and sideline are humble in defeat, your lads were spot on but i think your supporters need to go and watch a bit of netball if they dont want to witness physical ties as it seems to cleary have left them scared for life... we wish the barley boys good luck for the rest of the season and thank them as that was our hardest game yet and was a big test for us.

Getting back on topic of results, Hetton v Staindrop was a cracking game, thought Staindrop were unlucky to lose the first goal as looked blatantly offside, but hetton deserved their win in the end with two well taken goals as Staindrop pushed for the equaliser. Could have been different had Phil Mcguires shot gone in off the post.

All the best to Hetton in the next round.
