Barley Mow WMC 6 0 Teams Social

Scoreline slightly flatters us, however created loads of chances, and at 2-0 at halftime, second period all to play for.

Teams certainly came out in 2nd half fired up a bit more, and did a bit of pressing without unduly worrying our keeper.

Game over after Davy Southern scored a third, quickly followed by a 4th. However ref intervened and in my view unnecessarily sent off a teams player for a high challenge. Our lads were just as perplexed at the decision, and ref did himself no favours.

When the lad who was the victim, and our players are saying to the ref, its not a SO, cant common sense previal, until that time their had been not 1 bad challenge.

never mind went on to score 2 more, best of luck to Teams Social, get a couple of good forwards and could become a quite good team.

Its get all the worse when we subsequently find out from a North Biddick player that their game v Fiddlers was called off for no ref, Fiddlers had 9 players.........

League cup 2nd round. Frawellgate moor wmc 3-2 Sacriston cc.(aet) a a great game of football. First half seen fram on top for the majority. But with ten mins remaining sacriston where awarded a penalty only for it to be saved brilliantly by passmore in the fram goal. After half time fram took the lead through Philip steel being left unmarked to header home after good work by smith. Sacriston then where on top for most of second half but couldn't seem to find away past the inform passmore in the fram goal who seemed to be saving everything . Fram kept on battling hard to keep the lead but sacriston finally managed to find the net with 7 minutes to go. This was a blow to fram who thought they had done enough to win but had to battle out another 30 mins of extra time. In first half of extra time fram restored there lead quickly as carrahar was left unmarked to have a free diving header into the net. In second half sacriston pushed for an equiliser and again where rewarded another penalty which Gary drapery nice put away to level scores. With game looking to go to penaltys fram where determined to win it and they did so with 5 mins left after q great cross from kitchen met the head of Ian fields. Sacriston will be. dissapointed to have conceded 3 goals of crosses but in fairness for frams battling and work rate they feel result is fair.
