THORNABY travelled to Tow Law town with several players missing but started well with recent transfer from Synthonia Phil Horseman settling into the side on the left and little was seen of the home attack with the visitors taking the game to Tow Law , after 25 minutes Richie Walker broke through the home defence and should have scored with the keeper making an good stop . Just before the interval Thornaby defender Michael Joseph was shown his second yellow card by referee Jeff Marr the home side had a few crosses and off target shots but Thornaby more than matched the home side

HT TOW LAW 0 THORNABY 0
a reshuffle at half time saw the visitors comfortably holding the home side whose first on target shot was 60 minutes !
both Richie Walker and Darren Morton were causing problems to Tow Law on the flanks , after 78 mins Chris Howard replaced Gary Mitchell who had worked very hard , and with five minutes remaining Billy Rees and Steve Kennan replaced Walker and Callan to shore up the defence , the visitors had a few good chances to win the game but an battling point on a difficult pitch and down to ten for 45 minutes says it all
a good team performance with Walker and Morton doing very well in front of a solid visiting defence and midfield with Gary Mitchell working tirelessly up front alone
FARRELL WILKINSON JOSEPH MORRISON MORTON ANDREWS CALLAN HORSEMAN WALKER PEARSON MITCHELL
sub HOWARD for MITCHELL 78 MINS
REES/ S KEENAN for CALLAN/WALKER 85 mins
hubbard not used
MOM RICHIE WALKER
