The game was well contested in the early stages with the Under 18 starting well , but slowly the Northern league side settled into an passing game and took the lead through Gary Mitchell after good work in midfield by Charlie Teasdale and Carlton Mcabe , the Under 18 had a good chance saved by Briggs before winger Scott Oldfield fired home from close range
HT 2-0
The second period saw a few substitutions which broke up the game but the Northern league side eventually ran out easy winners against a spirited Under 18 4-0
