THORNABY FC , BORO RANGERS JFC AND FRIENDS OF TEESDALE PARK host the first Teesdale park community games this weekend on the Northern league field , the event which has been organised between the groups features UNDER 7/8 football teams from the region on Saturday followed by the older age groups UNDER 9/10 on Sunday, entry is free and there will be an bouncy castle, and side shows and refreshments . Parking is available and the event opens at 10am and finishes around 3.30pm each day , the newly refurbished Park will be open and the nature trail and fitness trail available
for visitors .

The games took place last Saturday and Sunday and included Junior teams from Durham and Tees valley from under 7 - under 10 the Park looked tremendous with four pitches on the main Northern league field and children, families and coaches blessed with sunshine most of the two days. The committee from Thornaby FC Boro rangers JFC and Friends of Teesdale Park were astounded at the level of football and good behaviour from everyone that attended , thanks also to Tees Valley YMCA, Tees valley sport and the lottery legacy fund who supported the event . Over 32 teams took part and in excess of 300 children accompanied by parents and coaches showed the Teesdale park has doen an amazing transformation in the space of 12 months . Emails and text have poured into the organisers complimenting the event and we are presently considering dates for 2013 , Thornaby under 10s even won the Under 10 trophy and Boro rangers Under 8 s so we are very pleased .
