THORNABY and Chester le Street battled it out on a bumpy pitch and with a strong wind, Graeme Baverstock was tripped in the box and then fired the penalty wide of keeper Rooks , Chester battled away but had limited chances the home side carved out a few good chances Ian Clark bringing a good save from Rooks and Briggs saving well for the home side HT 0-0 visitors took the lead when following a foul on Lofts the referee played on an a series of shots eventually lead to a near post header with the home side appealing for the foul , however Thornaby quickly replied when sub Danny Lofts slid the ball home from close range, then a corner in the strong wind was carried past Briggs to make it 1-2 but with two minutes left a good ball by sub Charlie Raby lead to defender Mark Lilley striking the equaliser to earn a point from a game the home side should have won .2-2 thought Jack Procter was good for Chester Le Street an nice set of people , wont comment of referee !
defence played well and generally much better display MOM DARREN MORTON ( no bias honest ) RM

Well what a game. I thought that we were the better side in the first 25 minutes in the first half and i thought that they dominited the last 20 minutes and i THOUGHT that the second half both sides played well. Well done guys for showing character by coming back with only two minutes left looking forward to the game tommorrow against Gillford Park in the quater finals of the Armstrong Cup come on Thornaby :D
