Full time score Northallerton 3-0 Thornaby FC STL Northern League Division 2

The Teessiders made the short trip to the RGPS Stadium looking to get back to winning to winning ways. Allerton had the first chance in the game when Anderson blazed over the bar with a few minutes gone and Allerton then opened the scoring when a free kick wasnt dealt with properly and Mowbray slotted home in the corner with 8 minutes gone.Thornaby missed a great chance when craig Skelton pulled the ball back and Marty O'Riordan blazed over the bar from just outside the box.Thornaby then had David Turner sent off for a apparant elbow on a Northallerton player. Allerton then made it 2-0 when Anderson pounced on a defencive mistake to poke home the ball into the back of the net with 40 minutes gone.

Northallerton 2-0 Thornaby FC

Thornaby had the first chance in the second half when Craig Skelton seen the keeper off his line and tried to lob the ball into the far corner but it just went wide and the Teessiders had the next chance when Gary Mitchell hit an effort which just went wide.Thornaby had a penna appeal turned down when Thad Taylor went on a run and was tripped in the box but the referee aved away appeals Northallerton had there first chance in the second half when an went over the bar. Thornaby then appealed for another pen when Thad Taylor looked to have been fouled in the box once again but the ref once again waved away appeals. Allerton also had a penna appeal turned down when one of there players may have been fouled but the ref waved away the Allerton appeals. Allerton then undeservidly added a third goal when Chillingsworth got on the end of a cross with 84 minutes gone to kill the game off.

Well we were poor when we had 11 on the pitch and i actually thought we did really well with 10 men as we played some passes about and we also kept hold off the ball plus we also had some decent chances and i must say that i was really pleased with the second half performance well done guys you should be proud of yourselfs for the second half performance that you put in and as for Northallerton great people who made us feel very welcome and in my view they have the best fans in the league plus they also have a very good side who i think will finsh the season strongly All the best guys.
