THORNABY travel to Washington with several players returned from work and injury, defender Andy Sullivan is included after his transfer from Horden and recent ban , Lee Farrington is suspended for three games , Dave Turner will need a fitness test. Players meet 6pm Wolviston or 630pm at Nissan washington

as we have not heard otherwise the game tonight at WASHINGTON should be on 730pm ko players meet 6pm WOLVISTON or 630pm NISSAN rm

Full time score Washington 3-1 Thornaby FC STL Northern League Division 2

Thornaby made the short trip with the visitors looking to win there first game in 8 matches. Washington had the first chance of the game when there number 8 which O'Rourke saved well. Washington opened the scoring when Jamie Layton drilled home with 22 minutes gone. Thornaby had their first chance of the game when Ian Clark played in a great cross and David Turner headed wide.

Half time Washington 1-0 Thornaby FC

Washington then scored a second goal just after half time when Tate drilled home to make it 2-0. Washington then scored to make it 3-0 when Ben Richardson scored from a free kick into the corner when David Turner was Penailised for handball outside the box after 57 minutes gone. Thornaby had the next chance when Karl Garside hit a shot which was saved by the keeper. Craig Skelton pulled a goal back for Thornaby when he lobbed the keeper with 66 minutes gone. Thornaby had the next chance when Craig Skelton tried to lob the keeper with the keeper tipping over the bar and it was Skelton again who had another chance when a scramble in the box and his effort hit the side netting. Washington then had the next chance in the dying seconds which hit the side netting with the keeper getting a touch on.

Well another poor performance. we now havent won in 9 games and the next two games are tough ones but come on lads i know you can play better than you have been. Come on the blue's!!
