TOW LAW TOWN 0 THORNABY 1
Thornaby travelled to Tow law town for the rearranged fixture from earlier in the season which was abandoned at half time due to floodlight failure , the home side carved out several clear cut chances in the first ten minutes with Matty Moffat and Dean Thexton both shooting wide and Liam Gibbs making an good save .The visitors could easily have been two or three goals behind with a series of shots going wide .
Thornaby eventually gained their shape and had a couple of half chances with youngster Kurtis Howes causing problems for Tow Law . After 20 minutes an ball into the box saw Gary Mitchell tripped and referee Wright pointed to the spot. Mitchell got up and drove the penalty home 1-0 . The first half became an scrappy affair with long balls by both teams HT 1-0
The second period saw Thornaby kicking with the significant slope and much less was seen of the home attack with Howes continuing to cause full back Scott Oldfield problems . Few chances came for both sides and with Man of the match Michael Joseph assisted by skipper Morrison the Blues picked up their first win in 2017 , and moved up two places in the table to 17th

Does not sound like out best performance of the season but we have been brilliant in other matches and not got the correct results so credit to the lads for getting the win today.

Another big game on Tuesday night hopefully we will get a result on Tuesday night as well. Come on Thornaby!

Solid defending and some bad finishing by home side got us points
