THORNABY 2 V 2 ALNWICK TOWN
Thornaby hosted mid table Alnwick town boosted by the good win at home to Durham city last week and manager Paul Burton kept an unchanged side with Gary Mitchell being included on the bench after injury .Alnwick took the game to Thornaby and had an few long range shots then just before half time an cross was forced home by striker Liam Brooks to make it 1-0 HT THORNABY 0 ALNWICK TOWN 1
The second period saw the home side come more into the game and Karl Charlton got on the end of an through ball and rounded keeper Sam Bouttell to level the score after 55 minutes . The home side brought on sub Nathan Evans who started to get forward , however after 72 minutes an shot was parried by home keeper Gibbs and Brooks forced the ball home from close range to make it 2-1 .Steve Morrison was introduced at full back for Taylor Crainey
The home side had some chances before an long cross cum shot by full back Mitchell Morris sailed over Bouttell to level the score 2-2
The pressure was on the visitors and Thornaby had a few chances to win the game but had to settle for an point , which takes them above Crook town slowly rising up the league table
