Well what a match i missed the first half as i was refereeing in the county cup but we went 1-0 down when Morpeth scored from the spot but we levelled when gary Mitchell levelled and new signing Andrews then scored two goals to take us into a 3-1 half time lead and then Morpeth pulled a goal back with about 20 minutes or so gone in the second from a free kick which went all the way in and to be honest Morpeth had a few shots to level but we held out and had one or two chances our selves but with about two minutes Morpeth then got a second penna which Anderson converted from the spot.

Well to be honest what i seen of the match i thought that Morpeth were just the better team but to be honest our work rate and commitment was fantastic and that all we can ask for so that's why i think we deserved a point out of the match so well done lads i was really proud. lets move on to tuesday night's tough game against Pickering in the North Riding Cup come on Thornaby!

Good point for thornaby. Tough game at pickering. They have already beaten us, team north and durham in the vase this season. Their front two are sharp but good luck.
